Gumala Hardship Payment Update

7th January 2026

Hardship Payment Application Period Extended

Gumala Aboriginal Corporation (GAC), in collaboration with Gumala Investments Pty Ltd (GIPL), have extended the hardship payment application period to 16 January.

This extension has been approved to allow additional time for applicants who may have experienced delays in submitting their application due to travel or other circumstances.

All applications received within the extended period will be reviewed by the GAC team. Applicants will be notified once assessments have been completed and outcomes finalised.

19th December 2025
We know many Gumala families are travelling or busy with the festive season.
To make things easier, GAC and GIPL will consider late applications for the hardship payment, for special circumstances.
The GAC and GIPL teams will consider any applications received from today until 4 January.
All applications received in this period will be reviewed by 7 January, with confirmation and payments made by 8 January.

17th December 2025

Gumala Aboriginal Corporation is pleased to announce that the GAC and GIPL Board’s have approved an unusual hardship payment of $3,000 for eligible Members and Beneficiaries.

This payment will be funded from the Historic Underpayment Program and administered by GAC.

Both GAC and GIPL recognise the increased financial pressures that can arise during the festive season and the importance of providing timely support to those experiencing hardship or distress.
